Alec Baldwin US version[]

  • Alec Baldwin: One morning, Crovan and Emily were very excited.
  • Emily: Sir Topham Hatt says that the two engines are returning from the Mainland another more chance. They'll help us out with our hard work.
  • Crovan: Who?
  • Emily: Just thinking of the names I heard.
  • Crovan: What are you thinking about their names?
  • Emily: Alfred and Raven, formerly known as 98462 and 4563. Gordon, Edward and Henry told me all about that it was a long time ago.
  • Crovan: Did you say those names like that?
  • Alec Baldwin: Snorted Crovan.
  • Crovan: Why, nonsense! They're being nothing but showoffs and rudeness. It's not fair I've got blamed for his accidents. Many years later, I almost got scrapped. And the governor saved and brought me back as a private engine. I guess I never should've joined them to be so horrid to Gordon, Edward and Henry in the first place.
  • Emily: Well you did.
  • Alec Baldwin: Huffed Emily. Before she could say anything else, the two engines return from the Mainland were Alfred and Raven. Their old numbers were called 98462 and 87546, and the 2 engines were most surprised.
  • Alfred: Oh, Crovan, my old friend, it's been a long time since we've been sending packing!
  • Alec Baldwin: Exclaimed Alfred.
  • Crovan: How dare you call me friend. I thought you two were scrapped.
  • Alec Baldwin: Just then, the governor came out of Crovan's cab.
  • The Governor: Almost, but Sir Topham Hatt saved and brought them here to help us out.
  • Crovan: Oh be quiet!
  • Alec Baldwin: Snapped Crovan.
  • The Governor: I'm just saying.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said the governor severely.
  • Raven: Be honest.
  • Alec Baldwin: Pleaded Raven.
  • Raven: We didn't expect to see you again after all these years, Crovan.
  • Crovan: Huh!
  • Alec Baldwin: Grunted Crovan.
  • Crovan: You know what? I don't have time to waste time dawdling with those troublemaking engines here. I've got a job no matter how hard can we NWR buddies do.
  • Alec Baldwin: The two engines looked hurt. Crovan banged about the yard. Then, he clattered crossly to the station. Gordon was already there waiting for him.
  • Gordon: You're late!
  • Alec Baldwin: He snapped.
  • Crovan: I know.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Crovan.
  • Crovan: It's those troublemaking engines' fault. Alfred and Raven try to start bragging at me how to be honest to those visitors with their bad attitudes.
  • Gordon: You poor engine.
  • Alec Baldwin: Sympathized Gordon.
  • Gordon: I know all about visiting engines. One was called Reginald once stayed the night at Tidmouth with me and Duck. We were involved in an argument about the confusion between the mainline stations in London. And that was pretty dumb to me. After he had been rescued when he got derailed, I soon sent him packing.
  • Alec Baldwin: Crovan was filled with admiration. He didn't know that Gordon was boastful and sometimes didn't tell the truth.
  • Crovan: Send those two engines packing again, send those two engines packing again.
  • Alec Baldwin: Snorted Crovan. He didn't know there was a stretch where the hot sun had bent the rails on the track on Gordon's Hill.
  • The Governor: Careful, Crovan!
  • Alec Baldwin: Called the governor. But it was too late.
  • (Crovan falls off the rails)
  • The Governor: You mean old engine!
  • Alec Baldwin: Shouted the governor.
  • The Governor: First you felt a bit more cranky to the others, second, you told me to be quiet, and now you've got derailed! Now I will have to call for help.
  • Alec Baldwin: Alfred and Raven were in the yard when they heard the news.
  • Alfred: Not that meany again!
  • Alec Baldwin: Alfred cried.
  • Raven: Why would we help him?
  • Alec Baldwin: Grumbled Raven.
  • The Stationmaster: If you two don't need help, you'll be sending back to the mainland wherever you came from.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said the Stationmaster.
  • The Stationmaster: You must go get Judy and Jerome at once.
  • Alec Baldwin: The two engines grumbled dreadfully as they set off. Crovan stood sad and solitary. He never should've said what he said to Alfred and Raven.
  • Crovan: Oh, dear.
  • Alec Baldwin: He thought.
  • Crovan: Everyone will know how silly I am. Will those two forgive me?
  • Alec Baldwin: Alfred and Raven arrived with Judy and Jerome the Breakdown Train and lifted carefully Crovan back onto the line.
  • (Judy and Jerome lift Crovan back to the rails)
  • Alec Baldwin: After that, Crovan was extra careful all day while the workmen repaired the line. At last, evening came.
  • Crovan: Alfred, Raven.
  • Alec Baldwin: He whispered.
  • Crovan: Thank you both for helping. I'm sorry I was rude to you. I was cranky because I thought you were here to tease my friends.
  • Alfred and Raven: Nonsense!
  • Alec Baldwin: The two engines said.
  • Alfred and Raven: We've only tried to be nice when we had our chances.
  • Crovan: I wish all engines in the past were like you. Let's be friends again.
  • Raven: Suits us.
  • Alec Baldwin: Replied Raven.
  • Alfred: I never thought I'd say this.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Alfred.
  • Alfred: But we can all work together again first thing tomorrow.
  • Alec Baldwin: When Sir Topham Hatt heard about both engines' worth and made them a new branch line. Alfred and Raven were no longer visiting engines from the mainland. Their old numbers had been erased into new one's. Alfred 23 and Raven 24. They now work together for many years. The engines don't mind having them on Sir Topham Hatt's Railway. They call it Norramby Branch Line, known as Alfred's. They pull coaches or freight cars up and down the line that runs between the white sandy beaches and the village. And they built a new shed where they needed to sleep every night. I think they certainly are the Really Useful Engines right now, don't you?
