Edward Sets Sail is the sixteenth episode of the eleventh series.
Plot[]
It is a windy spring day on the Island of Sodor, and Edward is to deliver the Mayor of Sodor's yacht from the docks to the harbour. Cranky tells Edward that he must wait for the engineer to put the boat's tall mast down, but Edward is too impatient to wait and leaves.
Edward races past Trevor, who tells him to be careful with the yacht, but Edward feels too important to take any notice of her. Edward approaches a bridge, but Rosie stops Edward from going under it as the mast was too tall. Edward goes back to take another way, but the mast gets caught in some trees. Edward pulls as hard as he can and breaks free, but he does not know that the ropes tied to the sail have come loose, and the wind pushes the sail, causing Edward to speed up significantly. Molly sees Edward and tries to warn him about the sail, but Edward is going so fast that he does not hear her.
Edward is approaching the harbour, but cannot stop and races pass Alfred, Raven, Arthur, The Mayor, the Fat Controller and Lady Hatt. Finally, the wind stops and so does Thomas. Edward realises his mistake and collects the engineer from the harbour. The engineer puts the mast down and Edward arrives back at the harbour and the yacht is able to be unloaded and launched. The Fat Controller tells Edward that he sees that he decided that full steam is better than full sail and Edward agrees.
