“You'll never find me! I'm the best hider ever!"
"Well, I'm the best finder!”
―Ben and Bill

Hide and Peep is the eighteenth episode of the eleventh series.

Plot[]

It is a busy bustling day at Brendam docks. All the engines are working hard. A ship is taking a while to reach Brendam, so Bill and Ben decide to play "Hide and Peep" to pass the time. Cranky asks if he can play, but Bill says that he is too tall to hide, making Cranky feel left out. Ben goes to hide.

Bill searches everywhere to find him, but Ben is good at hiding. He looks in a shed thinking that Ben is there, but he cannot see him, and so he pretends to have found him. Ben comes out of his hiding place but sees that Bill did not really find him. He peeps crossly that Bill tricked him and goes to hide again. Bill looks for him again, this time pretending that the Fat Controller needs him. He arrives at the Coaling Plant shouting that the Fat Controller is here. Suddenly, Ben comes out from the coal tipper asking Bill where the Fat Controller is, only to see that Bill tricked him again. Bill feels bad and promises Ben that he will not trick him again, so Percy goes to hide again.

Bill instead finds the Dock manager, who informs Bill that the ship has finally docked. Bill cannot find Percy, and when he calls out to Ben that the ship has docked, Ben thinks it is another trick and refuses to come out. Bill arrives next to Cranky, admitting that he is not a very good finder, and asks Cranky for help, as Cranky had seen the faraway ship. Cranky spies Rocky lowering Ben behind a wall. Bill finds the little yellow saddle tank. Ben is surprised that Bill has found him, but Bill admits the truth, including that it really is time for their deliveries. They collect their deliveries, and Bill states that Cranky is the best finder and that Ben is the best hider.
