Here are the Missed Opportunities that we’re missed for S21-23 because the Current Thomas and Friends Show as well as the new Era is full of missed opportunities these days.

Series 23

Gordon Gets the Giggles

Annie and Clarabel could’ve spoke in this episode and Duck, Bill, Ben, Emily, Spencer, Rosie, Stanley, Charlie, Nia, Philip, Stafford, Annie and Clarabel should‘ve appeared in the episode. Why did Mattel remove their appearances and why did Becky Overton write this episode? Clearly, Helen Farrall, Andrew Brenner, Lee Pressman or Michael White could’ve written this episode way better than Becky Overton. Also, Helen Farrall should’ve stayed to write more episodes after Series 21 and Lee Pressman should’ve stayed to write more episodes after Series 22 rather than bringing back Becky Overton. That way, the six writers who would still be writing for the show would be Tim Bain (BWBA Australia Episodes only), Davey Moore, Helen Farrall, Andrew Brenner, Lee Pressman and Michael White. Emily hasn’t received an episode since Series 21. If the writers could do more with Emily, they could have either made her go to China with maybe Percy, Duck and Thomas or they could’ve wrote an episode where she risked in saving Gordon from a huge rockslide near the Sodor Search and Rescue Centre or even Emily being in her early days on her old line (where she has one of her character flaws which she was young and bossy back then). Charlie and Stafford haven’t had any attention since The Great Race. They we’re supposed to speak in Series 21 and Stafford was supposed to appear in Series 22 with two speaking roles. Even Charlie making a role in Gordon Gets the Giggles would’ve made sense as he never had a speaking role since Series 18's Not So Slow Coaches. Gordon being silly and bumping into the Railway Crossing Gates would’ve caused a serious accident and he was calling himself “Big G” which made things go even more Gangsta. Even Rebecca was covered in Honey (Which is a Reference to Winnie the Pooh) and in Vegetables Too was so funny. What if Gordon kept being silly And then The Fat Controller would take the Express away and give it to either Henry, James, Donald, Douglas, Emily or Rebecca. Gordon would be doing silly jobs like pulling the Bubble Machine (that Stephen pulled in Thomas and Friends In 4D: Bubbling Boilers) and the Clown Special where he was dressed up as a Clown. If TFC made the North Western Railway as silly as seen in Series 22's Forever and Ever, Gordon would be so so upset. The characters who appeared in the fantasy scene in Forever and Ever aside from Gordon were Thomas, James, Percy, Emily, Rosie, Stephen, Diesel, Salty, Sidney, Marion, Skiff, TFC, Stephen Hatt, Bridget Hatt, The Thin Clergyman, The Mayor of Sodor, Mr. Bubbles, Sir Robert Norramby and Captain Joe. However, Stephen, Skiff and Sir Robert Norramby never spoke in Series 22 in which they should’ve spoke. If In Series 22 where Ulfstead Castle appears for example: Samson and the Fireworks and Hunt the Truck: add Stephen, Glynn and Millie as well as add in their speaking roles for them. Stephen, Glynn, Millie and Sir Robert Norramby should've spoke in Samson and the Fireworks and Hunt the Truck, that way, Stephen and Sir Robert Norramby would have speaking roles every series and Glynn and Millie would’ve kept appearing in every series as the show keeps going. As for Skiff, well he should’ve had 2 speaking roles in Series 21 and 3 speaking roles in Series 22, but were all debunked due to Jamie Campbell Bower temporarily leaving the voice cast of TTTE&F. Wow, Jamie Campbell Bower should've stayed in the Voice Cast and Skiff would’ve spoke with 2 speaking roles in Series 21 and 3 speaking roles in Series 22 and if Stephen and Skiff appeared in new footage in Series 23, it would’ve been like Gold. Anyways, back to Gordon now. So Gordon on the other hand have to go to the Sodor Steamworks to see what is wrong with his boiler and tells Victor and Kevin that he has the serious case of the Giggles. Later on, Sir Topham Hatt comes in and tells Gordon that he would be still pulling the Express until the end of his time (except some other times where he pulls goods or any special trains). The episode ends with a passenger saying that “Could we go home now?” and Everyone laughs. This episode is given a 6/5.10.

Chucklesome Trucks

Henry, Rosie, Ryan, Annie, Clarabel, Judy and Jerome should’ve had speaking roles in this episode and Donald, Douglas, Oliver, Stanley, Fred Pelhay, Rickety and U.L.P. should’ve appeared in this episode! Why did Mattel remove their speaking roles just so this episode can only have Thomas, Gordon, James, Percy, Emily, Nia, Rebecca, T. Trucks and TFC as the only characters who speak in this episode?! Come on Mattel, it’s not that hard! Just add dialogue to Henry, Ryan, Annie, Clarabel, Judy and Jerome because the writers of the current show are in love with Ryan right now and Rosie had came back in Series 21 and Journey Beyond Sodor with a new paint Job! The marketing is in love with Rosie right now! Henry have appeared and spoke in every series and special of the franchise and has appeared the most in the Railway Series than everyone else in the RWS! There was going to be a opportunity for a reference to Henry's Forest in Global Goals, but it was removed because Mattel killed him off the Main Cast! Donald and Douglas have appeared since their reintroductions in Sodor's Legend of the Lost Treasure and it would’ve been best if they spoke in Journey Beyond Sodor, appeared in Series 22 and had 3 speaking roles in S22, but let’s hope Donald and Douglas appear and speak in Series 23! Oliver and Toad should’ve appeared in Series 21 with 3 speaking roles and 2 cameo roles since their reintroductions in Series 18 and Tale of the Brave! Rosie had a good reintroduction in Series 21 and Journey Beyond Sodor. There was going to be another episode where she was painted red, but was axed due to the production of Big World! Big Adventures! and the International episode of Series 22! Come on Mattel! Why do you waste Characters in Favor of new ones?! (For example; Flying Scotsman, Hugo, Skiff, Rheneas, Sir Handel, Peter Sam, Duncan, Luke, Rex, Bert, Mike, Terence, Trevor, Alfie, Oliver the Excavator, Max, Monty and Big Mickey). Clearly, You should just give characters another chance (for example: Stephen, Glynn, Ryan, Theo, Lexi, Hurricane, Hugo, Frankie, Skiff, Skarloey, Rheneas, Sir Handel, Peter Sam, Duncan, Luke, Millie, Rusty, Rex, Bert, Mike, Judy, Jerome, Terence, Bulgy, Jack, Alfie, Oliver the Excavator, Max and Monty) So they could have roles in the episodes and future series!. Ryan should’ve spoke in Journey Beyond Sodor, appeared in Big World! Big Adventures! and appeared and spoke with 3 speaking roles in Series 22! Like I said, The writers are in love with Ryan at the moment. Davey Moore has written him into some episodes in Series 20 and 21. Ryan normally acts like a Thomas Character. Judy and Jerome had some good introductions in The Adventure Begins and they appeared again in Series 20. Yes, the writers have gave them second chances, but they should’ve had dialogue in Series 23. Yes come on, Mattel, it’s not that hard because recurring Characters like Edward, Henry, Toby, Stephen, Porter, Merlin, Paxton, Philip, Winston, Skiff, Henrietta, Judy and Jerome have appeared in every series and returnees like Duck, Daisy and Jack appeared in every series so far! It’s not that hard to give them some dialogue and extend the running time of the S22-23 Episodes instead of cutting the running time back to 7 minutes! But like we all said, Davey Moore is the great writer of the current series like Andrew Brenner, Lee Pressman, Helen Farrall and Michael White and Davey Moore has done great on this episode and threw some good references to the Series 1 episode, Dirty Objects and the Series 2 episode, Percy Takes the Plunge. Even the Tar Tankers have returned and this episode have been given a 8.5/10.
