Trivia
- Apart from cheering, Stephen, Glynn and Millie have no dialogue in this episode.
- The way Harold arrives at the castle and Sir Topham Hatt steps out dressed as Father Christmas is similar to the second series episode, Thomas and the Missing Christmas Tree.
- Some shots of them resemble the same scenes from the episode and the story the episode is based on.
- The scene could possibly be an inside reference to the fact that one of Sir Topham Hatt’s models was used for Father Christmas in that episode as well.
- When Harold spots the Ferris Wheel, an instrumental version of Joy to the World is heard
- Harold’s line, “It’s going to be a bumpy ride,” is a line famously used in the 1950 film, All About Eve.
- This episode marks Emily, Nia, Stephen, Glynn, Millie, Skiff, Harold, Sir Robert Norramby and Mr. Percival's last appearances in the Jam Filled Toronto series.
Goofs
- When Nia leaves Tidmouth Sheds, her side rods are not rendered properly as part of them are disconnected from her piston and are hanging loose.
- Several characters and cast members were not credited in the UK and US end credits:
- Bob Golding is not credited for voicing Stephen.
- Miranda Raison is not credited for voicing Millie.
- Glynn is not listed with Keith Wickham's characters.
