Salty's Secret and Other Thomas Adventures, (re-released as Harvey to the Rescue in 2009), is a US VHS/DVD featuring the first six episodes from the sixth series which are narrated by Alec Baldwin and one song. It was distributed by Anchor Bay Entertainment in 2002 on VHS and again in 2009 on DVD.

Join Thomasand Mavis as they meet Salty and discover the secret that Bill and Ben are still trying to figure out. Welcome Harvey and watch as he proves that, even though he may look a little different, he's still a Really Useful Engine, and share in the reunion of Sir Topham Hatt and an old friend, Elizabeth the Vintage Quarry Truck.

  • This marked the only DVD of two things:
    • The only time a trailer for a CD-ROM game is shown in the Thomas' Gallery to date.
    • The only DVD until Steamies vs. Diesels not to have sing along song menu on the main menu.
  • This is the first Series 6 DVD and VHS.
  • This DVD came in Totally Thomas Volume 2 with Thomas and His Friends Get Along and Races, Rescues and Runaways and an unknown pack with Milkshake Muddle, Trackside Tunes, Thomas' Snowy Surprise, Cranky Bugs and Thomas' Sodor Celebration.
  • This DVD and VHS came out on the same day as Spills and Chills and Thomas' Christmas Wonderland came out on DVD.
  • Some VHS releases of this release came as both black and blue tape shells.
  • Salty's Secret Songs was an audio cassette tape included with some VHS releases. It featured the following songs:

    4. Gone Fishing


  • On the front cover, Salty's eyes are wonky.
  • In the DVD menu, Salty is making puffing and whistling noises, and his accent is completely different.
