The Sodor Suspension Bridge is a large suspension bridge that crosses over the River Reagh on the Main Line near Wellsworth.
History[]
Thomas & Friends[]
The bridge was first introduced in the special, Calling All Engines!, in which it fully collapsed due to a high storm and winds, but luckily, the bridge was mended in time for the summer holidays. Afterward, it appeared in the ninth and tenth series (though the latter only making stock footage appearances). It returned to CGI in the sixteenth series.
A few years later, the bridge partially collapsed again in the nineteenth series episode, Slow Stephen. Luckily, Stephen was able to stop Spencer from crossing the bridge before it collapsed. Spencer was very grateful to Stephen for saving him and his passengers from disaster. The Fat Controller congratulates Stepney and Stephen and calls them really helpful heroes.
