Series 5 has 26 episodes again and has no new characters, but will be followed by a movie/special.

2. Rheneas and the Old Fogman- Rheneas is working at the Blue Mountain Quarry on a foggy day, but Old Bailey is having trouble keeping the engines safe and Rheneas wants to help.
3. Hello, Caroline- Caroline is acting as a taxi, but she cannot drive too fast. But when Thomas has an accident, the Fat Controller needs her to take him to a meeting- fast. Can Caroline save the day?
4. Alfie Helps Out- Alfie the Excavator is to help do Jack's work when Jack is sent to be repaired. But with the stress of the extra work, Alfie gets confused and has an accident of his own!
5. Percy and the Earl of Sodor- Percy is working at Ulfstead Castle where Sir Robert Norramby needs a lift to Knapford Station. Percy is given the job and Percy tries to be extra careful...
6. James' Small Problem- James is shunting trucks, but after taking a long goods train, he realises he missed one truck and rushes to deliver it only to end up in trouble and off the rails.
7. Thomas and the Christmas Gift- Thomas is helping out at Christmas,but after delivering the presents train, Stephen Hatt is sad when he has no present. What's happened to it?

9. Thomas and the Trap- Thomas is working near the Forest and comes across a metal animall trap that Diesel 10 deilvers, with animals in danger and Thomas tries to help...
10. Gordon's Expressive Surprise- Gordon is taking the Express from Great Waterton to Ulfstead Castle, but he has a surprise when he has to take the Fat Controller to the Mainland.
11. Rubbish Run- Thomas is to work at Whiff's Waste Dump with Scruff while Whiff goes to the Steamworks. But Thomas is in such a rush, can Scruff keep up?
12.Mallard's big idea- Mallard is busy with trucks but wants to pull passengers, so he tricks Stephen into giving him his passenger train, and gets into trouble!
13. Shiny Stepney- Stepney is having a repaint and when he does, he does his best to keep shiny, so he visits the countryside, but ends up at the Dieselworks...
14. Thomas and the Busy Friend- Thomas is not too busy today and when he sees that Billy has a lot to do, he offers to help, but Billy doesn't want help.
15. Edward's Easiness- Edward and Stepney are running a small line together, but when Stepney runs out of coal, Edward is confident he can run the line alone. Is he right?
16. Thomas and the Empties- Thomas is collecting trucks of empty milk bottles, but he needs to be careful not to break them!
17. Oliver In Charge- Oliver is to work with James on the Little Western. As Oliver shows James around, he gets pompous being in charge...
18. Den Darts It Down- At the Dieselworks, Den and Dart are working hard. But when James and Oliver help out, Den and Dart rudely insist they don't need help.
19. Mines- On the Narrow Gauge Railway, Rusty breaks down near an old mine. As Rheneas and Duncan search for him, they get lost in the maze of mines. Can they find Rusty or their own way?
20. Grounded- As Harold flies in harsh winds, he is forced to land, much to his sadness. Thomas and James try to cheer him up, but then the wind causes trouble!
21. A Bucket of Pride- Jack is carrying heavy loads and teases Alfie for having a smaller bucket. But Jack learns his lesson after he runs out of petrol, making his bucket useless...
22. The Thin Controller's Wife's Visit- Mrs Percival visits the Blue Mountain Quarry with her husband and learns of its ways, but the noise is not to her liking.
23. Thomas, Henry and the Hay- Thomas is collecting hay and Henry helps. But when Henry suggests to go on a packed route, Thomas prefers the scenic route. Is this a mistake?
24. Dumping Duncan- Duncan is taking the Percival family to Culdee Fell, but after he does, Duncan's brakes fail and he hits a siding and is lost, and his next job is replaced by another engine!
25. Emily's Day Off- Emily is having a day off, but when she is asked for help by Thomas, Diesel and Paxton, she refuses to help and spoil her day off...
26. Toby's Busy Day- Toby is helping to clear snowy tracks. When Gordon has an emergency journey, Toby must work fast to clear his express line.
